The SOP and LOR are
required only if you are applying for UG or PG courses at international universities and academic institutions abroad. Usually, they will ask you to provide two or three LORs from your previous institution.
SOP: The “Statement of Purpose” is a letter that should communicate clearly why the student wants to pursue that particular course in their University. So, your letter must be unique and detail-oriented to explain why you are interested in applying for a program of study at that University. We help candidates to prepare SOPs by collecting the required personal information from each candidate.
LOR: The “Letter of Recommendation” is a 400- to 500-word essay document which should effectively portray the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses, with regard to their program of choice. The LOR should be written on the official letterhead of the school or college, or on company letterhead if the letter comes from a previous employer.
There are two types of LOR as follows:
- 1. Academic LOR: If you are applying for a UG course, then you can collect the letter from a previous teacher or headmaster. If you are applying for a PG course, then you can collect the letter from previous college professors.
- 2. Professional LOR: If you are applying for an MBA program, you will have pre-defined work experience. Therefore, you must provide a LOR written by your immediate superior from your current or most recent place of employment. The Professional LOR format is different from the Academic LOR format. We will provide guidance and support on style and content, in order to prepare an effective LOR from teachers, professors, superiors, etc.
Academic Resume:
An academic
resume is a brief description of academic information like GPA, test scores, activities, and awards. It should also highlight extra experiential information, such as extra- curricular activities, competitions, scholarships, academic positions held (i.e. college paper editor) and so on. By including information on extra-curricular activities, school projects you have managed, and volunteer work, you will be able to effectively showcase your leadership qualities, communication skills, publications, research activities, funded projects, and more. The more specific or personal information you can include in the academic resume, the better you will be able to showcase your personality and your suitability for a specific task or activity.
